BUSINESS SCHOOL OPEN TO THE WORLD

For decades, the University of Deusto has focused on excellence in education and achieving a highly-esteemed level of international leadership. In accordance with its institutional policy, the UD has paid special attention to the creation of networks and projects which have gained significant notice, highlighting the prestige of the university as a whole.

AACSB ACCREDITATION

Deusto Business School, the business school of the University of Deusto, has obtained the prestigious ACCSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation, the international organisation which recognises the best business schools in the world. Only six Spanish institutions and 6% of the business schools in the world have received this ‘seal’ which proves the quality and excellence in management training.

Deusto Business School has obtained the AMBA (Association of MBAs) accreditation, positioning itself among the top 2% schools in the world. This seal of quality was obtained in November 2021, following the prestigious AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation, which was awarded last April 2021.

With this recognition, Deusto Business School is positioned at the top of postgraduate business education. The accreditation focuses especially on the quality of its Executive MBA, which meets the highest international standards of excellence. The accrediting committee also places high value on the transformative experience the Executive MBA students gain at the Deusto Business School.

The seal of recognition of internationalisation obtained along the Degree in Business Management / Master’s Degree in European and International Business Management (EIBM) is granted by the Agency of Quality of the Basque University System - Unibasq at the request of the universities of the System, such as the University of Deusto.

International Projects

IFI (Innovative Finance Inclusion)

IFI project will act as a platform to foster integrated community and cultivating evidence-based standards and practices, building a scope of knowledge and case studies digital platform, training institutional investments, regulators and innovators, letting students practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance) investments, and encourage innovation.

Interculturality project builds upon the experience of partners from Spain, Italy, Turkey and Poland and aims at enabling adult educators to develop intercultural competences in adult learners to develop personal skills and improve chances of securing employment, starting own businesses or updating own competences.

Providing skill improvement opportunities to companies’ staff (managers and employees) in order to connect international start-ups, scaleups, and established companies operating in specific verticals with focus on modern technologies and innovation (Industry 4.0) through a robust model of collaboration under the paradigm of open innovation.

The project is aimed at developing new competencies for all levels of SME managers, developers, designers, marketers, and their mentors or trainers on how to drive deep-tech businesses in one very fast-growing market - smart cities. It is focused on the penetration of smart city technologies and disruptive innovations in the cities and how that results in the creation of new needs and requirements for new skills.

IoT nuggets stand for “Internet of Things security nuggets” and it is a strategic partnership co-financed by the Erasmus plus programme of the European Commission (Bulgarian National Agency). The project aims at developing a new methodology and framework with a model of digital competence for the Security of the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem including security and privacy to face the challenges that cybersecurity puts in place.
