The Vice-Rector's Office for Research and Transfer has two specialist units to support research management.
- The office for national projects and transfer of research results (OTRI-DEIKER) is responsible for supporting research teams and staff in identifying and managing proposals and projects for local, regional and national calls for proposals. In addition, it focuses its transfer work by offering support in intellectual property and patent registration and assistance with projects in partnership with companies.
- The International Research Projects Office (IRPO) is highly specialised in the internationalisation of research teams and research staff at DEUSTO. It is responsible for maintaining institutional relations in international networks and forums. It establishes connections and promotes collaborations between disciplines and with stakeholders to align expertise, and thus improve the positioning of the university in projects and initiatives of excellence.
