You will need to submit your application for admission online via the University of Deusto’s Virtual Office. 

3. Admission tests and/or interview

Admission to some programmes requires an admission test or an interview. You will receive detailed information after submitting your application.

4. Decision on your application

You will receive the decision on your application for admission by email or via the Virtual Office.

5. Pre-enrolment

To secure your place on the programme of your choice, you must pre-enrol.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Bachelor’s degrees: Bachelor’s degrees at the University of Deusto last 4 years, while double degrees ake 5 years to complete. They carry between 240 and 360 ECTS credits.
  • Postgraduate programmes: Deusto master's programmes may last one academic year if they are 60 ECTS credits, or two academic years if they are 120 ECTS credits.
  • Doctoral programmes: 4 academic years

The University of Deusto offers a range of degree programmes taught in Spanish, English, French and Basque. If a programme is taught in a language other than your first language, you will need to provide proof of proficiency at B2 or C1 level (depending on the requirements of the programme). 

If you have completed your studies in an education system other than the Spanish one, the grades and qualifications required for your application for admission: 

  • They must be official and issued by the competent authorities, in accordance with the legal system in the country concerned. 
  • They must be legally approved by the relevant diplomatic authorities, or where appropriate, legalised through the Hague Convention Apostille. This is not required for documents issued by the authorities of the Member States of the European Union, or the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), or countries that are party to specific exemption agreements.
  • Documents must be accompanied, where appropriate, by the corresponding official certified translation into Spanish, English, French or Italian.  
  • At the enrolment stage, depending on the programme you are admitted to and your prior education, you may be required to provide other types of supporting documentation or recognition of your previous qualifications.

ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) is the standard European unit used to measure a student’s workload required to complete a university academic programme. 1 ECTS credit corresponds to 25 hours of student workload

The university grading system in Spain is numerical, ranging from 0 to 10, with 5.0 as the minimum pass mark. It is structured as follows: Fail (Suspenso: 0–4.9), Pass (Aprobado: 5–6.9), Good (Notable: 7–8.9), Very Good (Sobresaliente: 9–10) and Honours (Matrícula de Honor: special distinction awarded for marks above 9 in limited cases). The system is regulated byRoyal Decree 1125/2003 of 5 September.
