The Centre for Applied Ethics (CAE) researches into the social and political processes that determine how individuals and social groups have their dignity recognised, their capacity for social and political participation enhanced, their claims for social justice met and their right to live in peace protected. The aim is to generate knowledge and provide useful criteria and tools to the social, political and economic actors for decision-making in the areas that concern them.
Interdisciplinary research team: PhDs in Philosophy, Education, Development Studies, Sociology, Engineering, Economics, Psychology and Theology.
It analyses the power dynamics in various social spheres. It examines these processes from the perspective of victims and vulnerable groups.
Academics and experienced practitioners discuss and reflect together to identify trends and needs
both in terms of the issues it addresses and the countries where the projects are carried out. (Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Brazil, El Salvador, Serbia or the United States).

This seminar addresses key issues for implementing ethical management in organisations. These include culture, values, difficult decision-making and social impact. It is run in 5 modules between November 2021 and April 2022. Hosted by: The University of Deusto, through Diréctica, a learning community on ethics applied to management.
