Digital Well-Being and Prevention in Adolescence and Youth

    About the Expert Diploma

Digital well-being has become a key priority for education and society, due to the impact of intensive technology use on the health, development and social relationships of adolescents and young people. This context calls for strong educational and preventive responses by institutions and public policies.

Scientific evidence and regulatory frameworks highlight the need to promote a critical, responsible and healthy use of technology, positioning educational institutions and socio-educational stakeholders as key actors in media literacy and the prevention of digital risks.

The Expert Diploma in Digital Well-Being and Prevention in Adolescence and Youth responds to this need through an applied academic programme designed to train professionals to design and implement strategies for prevention, coexistence and digital health in educational and community settings, contributing to the creation of safer and more inclusive digital environments.

    What are the subjects like?

    Zoom into a unit

Just like in on-campus teaching, the subjects are designed with the University of Deusto’s Learning Model (MAUD)in mind.

    01

    PUT YOURSELF IN THE PICTURE

At this initial stage, students are presented with the scenario (challenge, problem, case) they will have to solve throughout the unit. In this first stage, you will put the case or challenge to be solved in a real, work-related context.

    02

    SET YOUR GOALS

This is a reflective stage in which you will ask yourself questions such as what's going on? How can I solve it? This will make you aware of what you already know and what you do not know. It is time to set learning objectives and a work plan to achieve them.

    03

    LEARN THE CONCEPTS

It is time to research, explore and work on those contents, ideas or theories that will allow you to tackle the task and meet the learning objectives.

    04

    CREATE

In this stage, you will apply the knowledge you have acquired to answer the questions or solve the problem or challenge.

    05

    ASSESS

Finally, in addition to the lecturer’s assessment and feedback, you will also be able to reflect on your learning and the process you have followed to improve your skills as an online learner.
