It is a basic-level exam for school-age learners which will help prepare them for higher-level English language qualifications. The exam consists of three papers: Reading and Writing, Listening and Speaking and lasts approximately 2 hours.

It shows you can communicate effectively in English in academic and professional settings and in everyday situations. Cambridge English: Advanced is accepted by educational institutions worldwide and can be used in the applications for student visas in UK and Australia.

Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) demonstrates your language skills at a very advanced level (C2). You can communicate with the fluency of a highly competent speaker. It proves that you have the level of English that is needed to study and/or work at the highest level, for example, on an international postgraduate or PhD programme, carry out tasks in multicultural contexts where English is the working language or work for English-speaking companies.
