Pain is the number one reason people seek medical care, and musculoskeletal disorders are among the most common conditions that involve pain. The physiotherapy focused on the musculoskeletal system has undergone a remarkable advance in recent years. In particular, this progress has been based on the adoption of evidence-based approaches and on a biopsychosocial perspective, along with increased knowledge of neuroscience, which has revolutionised the paradigm of the profession.
The expert diploma provides physiotherapists with a solid grounding in these advancements, while broadening and deepening the tools they have already acquired, such as clinical reasoning and pattern recognition, good manual skills and new treatment techniques.
