    Programme aim

The plan is, on the one hand, of a qualifying nature, based on acquiring the necessary competences for professional practice in the healthcare field, but also provides the necessary skills for assessment and intervention in the field of Neuropsychology.

    Why Deusto

    Track record in both areas

    A complete tour through health

Students will benefit from the extensive teaching and research experience of the Faculty of Psychology and Education in the field of health, as well as from a R+D+i Unit in Psychology and Health, which addresses clinical intervention in liaison with internationally consolidated research areas and teams.

    Neuropsychology since the 1990s

The University of Deusto has amply demonstrated its commitment to Neuropsychology training since the early 1990s. In 1999, the Bachelor's degree in Psychology incorporated a pathway with 9 subjects directly related to this area, which is one of the most popular among students.

In addition, between 2010/11 and 2014/15 the University of Deusto offered specific training in the field of Neuropsychology through the Expert in Neuropsychology.

Launch of the official master's degree

Since 2015/16 , the University of Deusto has been offering the Master's Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology (the syllabus has been verified by the Council of Universities, following a positive report from the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation, and the degree has been declared official by the Council of Ministers' Agreement of 17 April 2015).

    Two related areas

The two master's degrees have always been connected throughout the Faculty’s history before the joint programme was launched. Proof of this is that the Master's degree in Mental Health and Psychological Therapies, replaced in the 2014/15 academic year by the Master's degree in General Health Psychology, already included theoretical and practical modules taught by specialists in the field of gerontology.

Who is this programme designed for?
