The Diploma is structured over two academic years, each carrying a workload of 30 ECTS credits, amounting to a total of 60 ECTS credits. The curriculum comprises 12 modules, six per academic year, of which ten are theoretical and practical in nature and two correspond to the practicum.
The 60 ECTS credits of the programme correspond to a total student workload of 1,500 hours, distributed as 750 hours per academic year. Of this total, 500 hours are allocated to internships, with 250 hours per academic year. In accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), student workload includes all learning activities necessary to achieve the intended competences and learning outcomes, encompassing face-to-face teaching, academic placements, independent study, tutorials, preparation for and completion of assessments, as well as the production of assignments and projects.
The subjects that make up the Diploma curriculum are designed to foster the comprehensive development of personal, social, academic, and professional competences necessary for social and occupational inclusion in mainstream settings. Throughout the programme, students develop social and communication skills relevant to the professional context, personal autonomy, life-project planning, and decision-making, as well as instrumental competences related to information management, task and workspace organisation, the use of digital and office tools, and the understanding of basic accounting and finance concepts.
The programme also specifically addresses knowledge of the labour market, job-search strategies, and the Supported Employment methodology, the learning of English applied to workplace contexts, and the responsible and accessible use of technology, including digitalisation processes and an introduction to artificial intelligence. This is complemented by cross-cutting training in universal and cognitive accessibility and by progressive practical experiences in real work environments through the practicum modules, which enable students to apply their learning and develop professional competences in real-world contexts.
