In the Double Degree in Primary Education + Early Childhood Education, professional practice is compulsory and forms an essential part of the curriculum. It takes place during the 2nd and 4th years and is one of the most significant and weighted components of the programme, worth 42 ECTS.
In second year, you will undertake an internship as a class teacher and tutor.

This is a structured and systematic training programme in which each student is assigned two personal tutors who guide their learning: one from the placement centre and one from the University.

You will be able to tutor students and teach general subjects such as Language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, etc. regardless of the specialisation you choose.
If you choose the Specialisation in Therapeutic Pedagogy, you will be able to become a TP teacher, with “TP” standing for Therapeutic Pedagogy teacher. This is a support teacher who is present in most schools and works with children with special educational needs.
If you choose the Foreign Language specialisation: English, you will be able to become an English teacher. In this role, you will develop your students’ communication skills in English, enabling them to succeed in a globalised world.
If you choose the Physical Education specialisation, you will be able to become a Physical Education teacher, as well as work as a children’s sports instructor in schools, sports centres, or gyms.
If you choose the Hearing and Speech specialisation, your role will be to promote and develop the prevention of specific language and communication difficulties. You will also support students with these specific difficulties by enhancing their communication and language skills.
