25 November 2020
The 25 November is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, aiming to denounce all forms of violence against women all over the world just for being women.
Sustainable Development Goal 5 on Gender Equality (SDG5) states the need to address the many forms of discrimination experienced by women and girls so that true sustainable development can be achieved. The targets under SDG 5 focus on all forms of discrimination and violence against women and girls worldwide that must be overcome to advance equality and social justice.
Likewise, the University of Deusto has confirmed its comittment to eliminating all forms of gender violence or discrimination, with different initiatives since 2017, including the two protocols against harassment, which also tackle sexual and gender-based harassment.
