How to respond to a car accident as a nurse? Fourth-year Nursing students at the University of Deusto, San Sebastian campus, are now closer to being able to respond competently.
On 6 and 8 October, they took part in a car accident simulation. They carried out triage, extraction and immobilisation of a victim trapped in a vehicle, and advanced CPR. After the simulation, they were able to observe how an ambulance intervention is carried out.
This simulation was carried out in collaboration with DYA, integrated into the Out-of-Hospital Care module.
