On 20 January, the president of the Global Network of Physical Education and Sport, Dr. Domingo Blázquez, will take part as a guest in a working session with various institutions from the Basque Autonomous Community (CAPV), with the aim of seeking synergies for collaboration in training and research. The meeting will take place in the Press Room of the University of Deusto (Bilbao campus), from 9:30 to 13:00.
One panel will address topics related to Physical Education, including the quality of Physical Education; assessment in Physical Education; the reality of the profession; teacher training in Physical Education; and gender and Physical Education. Participants in this panel will include representatives from the Basque Government, the Association of Graduates in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFyD), the Physical Education Teachers’ Association, and other institutions, as well as faculty and researchers from the University of Deusto.
A second working panel will focus specifically on the state of School Sport in the Basque Country. The three provincial councils, which are responsible for School Sport, have been invited, along with university faculty and researchers with an interest in the topic.
