On Thursday, 27 November 2025, the Deusto Hall of Residence hosted a lunchtime discussion with Fr. Iñigo Merelló, S.J., master of novices of the Society of Jesus, and Fernando Peredo, S.J., a first-year novice from Madrid, aged 24, with a background in Journalism and International Relations.

During the discussion, Fr. Iñigo Merelló shared his experience as a formator of young Jesuits and spoke about the art of accompanying vocational processes in a time marked by haste, technology and the search for authenticity. For his part, Fernando Peredo, a graduate in Journalism and International Relations, explained how he discovered his vocation and how he is living his first year in the novitiate of the Society of Jesus.

The meeting aimed to offer residents a space for open dialogue, where they can share their concerns about faith, life decisions and the meaning of university life from an Ignatian perspective.
