The Eduardo Anitua Foundation and the University of Deusto have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting advanced training in the field of regenerative medicine and biological therapies. The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between the two organisations to develop teaching and research activities aimed at healthcare professionals and researchers interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the biological principles, scientific evidence and clinical applications of regenerative medicine.

Under this agreement, the Eduardo Anitua Foundation and the University of Deusto will launch the Expert Programme in Biological Therapies Applied to Regenerative Medicine, a university programme aimed at graduates in the field of health sciences. The programme will combine online learning with face-to-face sessions at the Eduardo Anitua Institute in Vitoria-Gasteiz and will address the application of biological therapies in areas such as oral and maxillofacial surgery, trauma, ophthalmology, dermatology and reproductive medicine.

This collaboration reinforces both institutions’ commitment to specialised, rigorous training that is aligned with the scientific advances which are transforming our understanding of tissue repair and the treatment of various conditions.

According to Dr Eduardo Anitua, President of the Eduardo Anitua Foundation, “this agreement represents an important step towards continuing to transfer the knowledge generated through years of research and clinical experience into the field of education. Regenerative medicine requires highly trained professionals who are able to understand the biological processes involved in tissue repair and apply these therapies with sound judgement, safety and a scientific basis. Our collaboration with the University of Deusto enables us to make progress towards this goal within a framework of academic excellence.”

For his part, Juan José Etxeberria, Rector of Deusto, highlighted that “this partnership reinforces the University’s firm commitment to the field of Health Sciences, an area in which we seek to address scientific and social challenges from a holistic and comprehensive perspective. “This agreement is a living example of our motto, ‘Transforming the world together’, as we believe that collaboration with leading partners is the driving force behind generating tangible outcomes for our country. With this Expert Programme, we bring together academic rigour and clinical cutting-edge expertise to train professionals who place innovation in regenerative medicine at the service of the common good and human dignity.”

With this agreement, the Eduardo Anitua Foundation and the University of Deusto have forged a partnership aimed at promoting knowledge transfer, the training of professionals and the development of new skills in an area of growing importance in modern medicine.
