Sebastián Zamorano is a PDI at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto. He holds a PhD in Engineering Sciences, mention in Mathematical Modeling from the University of Chile and is a Mathematical Engineer from the University of Santiago de Chile, where he was recently an Associate Professor. During the academic year 2023-2024 he executed at the Friedrich-Alexander University, Erlangen, Germany, the Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. His research focuses on control theory and inverse problems for partial differential equations and nonlocal equations, as well as optimal control of such equations. He has more than 15 published scientific papers, numerous lectures and organization of scientific events. He has guided two Master's theses and five theses in Mathematical Engineering (Chile).
