Researcher, practitioner and professor in the areas of forced migration, humanitarian action and armed conflict. A political scientist with a PhD in Human Rights, she has focused her research on the economic and social rights of internally displaced persons and refugees in cities, particularly on the right to adequate housing and the right to a livelihood, as well as the social inclusion and agency of people in situations of forced displacement, especially in the African continent. As an academic, she has worked in research centres at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Cardiff University and McGill University, as well as international humanitarian organisations such as Médecins Sans Frontières. She is the Director of Studies of the NOHA EMJMD in International Humanitarian Action and Assistant Professor of International Relations at the University of Deusto.
