PhD with Cum Laude distinction in Artificial Intelligence, Data Scientist at TECNALIA and lecturer at University of Deusto. His research activity focuses on Reinforcement Learning, particularly on addressing the exploration-exploitation dilemma in complex and sparse-reward environments. His expertise includes Intrinsic Motivation, Imitation Learning, Deep Learning and several Machine Learning areas such as Clustering, Computer Vision, Explainable AI and Generative AI. He has participated in multiple European and national research projects and is the author of several scientific publications in high-impact journals and prestigious international conferences. In the teaching domain, he lectures courses related to Artificial Intelligence, Reinforcement Learning, Object-Oriented Programming and Web Engineering within the Computer Science and Data Science degrees, both in Spanish and English. In addition, he supervises Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis projects as well as PhD dissertations.
