    School Administration

    Internships

The Master's content and activities are designed to be contextualised and applied in real educational settings. Each activity is supported by the supervising tutor, who guides and oversees its practical approach in line with the programme’s competences.

The applied dimension of the Master’s is particularly evident in two key areas:

    • The Leadership Project Module, in which students design a contextualised leadership action programme. Based on the school’s diagnostic review, students identify areas for improvement, define objectives, plan actions, manage resources, and set monitoring and evaluation indicators. This module enables students to integrate regulatory, organisational and institutional frameworks, offering an experience closely aligned with real leadership practice.
    • The Master's Final Project, focuses on developing an innovation project applied to a specific school. This final project allows students to demonstrate the integration of the competences acquired throughout the programme, under the guidance and supervision of a tutor.

In addition, the programme includes real cases designed by current school leaders and academic experts, strengthening the connection with the everyday challenges of school leadership and supporting the development of competences from a practical, context-based perspective.

Although the Master’s does not include compulsory external internships, its professional focus enables students to apply their learning directly. In this regard, two key points should be noted:

    • As this is an online master's degree, no specific agreements for external internships are arranged.
    • Most students are already working in schools, which allows them to apply the programme’s content in their own professional environment, particularly in roles related to management and leadership.

It is therefore recommended that applied activities take place preferably at the student’s home institution. For students not affiliated with any institution, the Master’s leadership and coordination team will provide a reference school for contextualising their training or consider proposals for educational institutions submitted by the student.

In addition, this Master’s covers the content required by Royal Decree 894/2014 of 17 October, which regulates the training course on developing leadership skills for accessing management positions in public schools. In particular, the Leadership Project Module fully complies with this legislation, ensuring the acquisition of the competences required across the country.
