    Patricia García Amado is researcher, practitioner, and lecturer in the areas of forced migration, humanitarian action, armed conflict and peace-building, Patricia is a political scientist and holds a PhD in Human Rights by the University of Deusto. Her research focuses on the economic and social rights of urban IDPs and refugees, particularly housing and livelihood rights, as well as social inclusion and agency in situations of forced displacement, especially in the African continent. Patricia has held research positions at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Cardiff University, and McGill University; worked in international humanitarian organisations such as Doctors Without Borders; and participated in research projects jointly with the International Institute on Environment and Development (IIED) and the Joint IDP Profiling Service (JIPS). Her involvement as a lecturer at the University of Deusto began with her participation in the NOHA Master's Degree in International Humanitarian Action, and she is now part of the teaching team in the area of International Relations.
