DEUSTO researcher, member of the Ageing and Wellbeing Interdisciplinary Research Platform and professor of the Department of Social Work of the University of Deusto, Felix Arrieta, presents his new book titled: “The archipelago of well-being. Social services in the Basque Country”.
The work makes an analysis of the social services in the Basque Country, showing how the current configuration, based on multilevel governance, can hinder its development and generate territorial inequalities in citizens' access to social services. The book describes how the social services in the Basque Country are “more like an archipelago of different islands that cohabit together and have few tools for working together”.
