Professor Ana Estévez, from the Faculty of Health Sciences and an expert in behavioural addictions and digital well-being, has served on the expert committee for the study Childhood, Adolescence and Digital Well-Being 2025, regarded as the most significant international analysis of the impact of technology on children and adolescents.
The report, prepared by Red.es, UNICEF Spain, the University of Santiago de Compostela and the General Council of Professional Associations of Computer Engineering, was presented on 11 November in Madrid with the participation of the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez. The event also featured interventions from the Minister for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, Óscar López, and the Minister for Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego.
The study, based on the participation of 100,000 people, provides a current overview of technology use among children and adolescents in Spain and highlights the need to guide and educate young people in a healthy digital environment. View study.
