The Cuadernos Deusto de Derechos Humanos Collection, published by the Pedro Arrupe Human Rights Institute of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, has been awarded the CEA-APQ Quality Seal in Academic Publishing, a distinction that recognises the scientific and editorial quality of academic publications.
The certificate award ceremony for the 2025 call took place on 17 March at the headquarters of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), as part of the tenth anniversary of this quality seal promoted by the Spanish Association of University Presses (UNE), the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), and FECYT itself.
Representing the University of Deusto at the event were Ane Ferran, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, and Encarnación La Spina, Director of the collection.
The CEA-APQ Quality Seal recognises best practice in academic publishing and guarantees compliance with rigorous standards of quality, transparency, editorial policy, and scientific evaluation.
With this distinction, the Cuadernos Deusto de Derechos Humanos collection strengthens its position as a reference in the field of human rights, consolidating its commitment to academic excellence and the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
The 2025 call has recognised a set of collections and monographs that have successfully undergone a rigorous evaluation process, thereby contributing to the strengthening of university and scientific publishing in Spain.
