On February 15th, the Global Engagement Office organized the Deusto International Virtual Meeting, an innovative proposal in which thirty participants from universities in more than 20 different countries from Africa, America, Asia and Europe, attended an international meeting on diversity, inclusion and multiculturalism in higher education, taught by our college Luana Ferreira Lopez Silva. The session, conducted online, consisted in a presentation on this topic, followed by a group dynamic in which participants interacted among them and discussed the different approaches to international and intercultural competencies.
The virtual meeting is an activity prior to the Deusto International Staff Week, which will be held next June with the aim of bringing together more than 20 professionals of Higher Education to learn, discuss and share around SDG 4: Towards a Sustainable and Quality Higher Education. The different sessions will be led by professionals from the University od Deusto, representatives of the public sector, and the Faculties at the Bilbao and San Sebastian campuses. Participants will also have a space to present their main challenges and best practices. In addition, they will be able to enjoy socio-cultural visits in Bilbao and its surroundings.
