To learn about the keys to artificial intelligence, its scope, its relationship with business competitiveness, its current challenges and the impact of this technology on the Basque business ecosystem, the University of Deusto has organised a new Deusto Engineering Breakfast Meetingentitled: “Intelligencia Artificial: una nueva herramienta clave para la transformación de empresas y organizaciones”, which will be held at the Maria Cristina Hotel in San Sebastian on 27 May at 9:00.

AI has a direct impact on companies and industrial sectors, providing predictive solutions based on data analysis that make it possible to predict when a machine might break down (predictive maintenance), analyse customer behaviour (business intelligence) or optimise companies' energy consumption (smart grids), among many others. All this without forgetting other solutions based on artificial intelligence such as digital twins for process simulation, artificial vision, voice assistants, intelligent automation or robot learning.

The meeting, which will be opened by the Rector of the University of Deusto, José María Guibert, and closed by the Deputy General of Gipuzkoa, Markel Olano, will focus on a round table moderated by Pablo García-Bringas, Vice-Dean of External Relations of the Faculty of Engineering; iñaki San Sebastián, Director of Strategic Projects at CAF; María Teresa Linaza, Director of Institutional Development and Promotion at Vicomtech; Marc Handels, Managing Partner at Salto Systems, and Laura Marrón, Director of the BAIC, Basque Artificial Intelligence Center.
