The University of Deusto has presented two forthcoming titles as part of its updated catalogue at the 2026 Madrid Book Fair. The publications are Un lustro de crisis singulares, by Manfred Nolte, lecturer at Deusto Business School, and Repensar lo humano, by Carlos Beorlegui, Professor Emeritus at the University of Deusto. These and other titles can be found at the stand shared by the University of Deusto and Comillas Pontifical University in the Plaza de la Ciencia y de las Universidades, set up for the duration of the Fair in El Retiro Park.
The 85th Madrid Book Fair, which this year takes place from 29 May to 14 June, is themed around humour. Echoing the novelist and humorist Wenceslao Fernández Flórez, who said that «humour is, quite simply, an attitude to life», the Fair’s director, Eva Orue, has stated that “that is the stance we have chosen to adopt for this 85thª edition” because “reading and laughing are two forms of resistance”.
In addition to the new releases mentioned above, the catalogue presented by the University of Deusto at its stand has been updated with 23 titles from various collections published by Deusto Publicaciones, including Derechos humanos y cambio climático, by Jorge Fernández Gómez, Logros y Desafíos / Giza Eskubideak: Challenges and Opportunities / Human Rights: Achievements and Challenges, by Felipe Gómez Isa; La protección de las víctimas de la violencia de género, by Demelsa Benito Sánchez, Los mitos vascos, by Andrés Ortiz-Osés, Mujeres y drogas, by Elisabete Arostegui Santamaría and Patricia Martínez Redondo, Pobreza energética Norte y Sur Global, by Stephanía Mosquera López and Macarena Larrea Basterra and Vidas acompañando vidas, by Cinta Guinot, Amaia Mosteiro, Ane Ferran and Felix Arrieta
