Bilbao Campus San Sebastian Campus
The University of Deusto celebrated its Open Day on Saturday, 17 January, at the Bilbao and San Sebastian campuses. During this crucial time for academic guidance, the university aimed to support young people in finding the programme that best matched their interests, promoting direct engagement with the university environment.
From 10:00 to 14:00, the University became a space for personalised guidance, where prospective students could explore in detail more than 50 undergraduate and double degree programmes across Business, Law, Politics and International Relations, Languages, Communication, Education and Sport, Social Intervention, Theology, Engineering, and Health.
The teams responsible for the faculties and university services answered questions about degree programmes, the admissions process, international programmes, career opportunities, and extracurricular activities. In addition to the information sessions, guided tours were organised to show the facilities, laboratories, and common areas.
Focus on new digital profiles
The highlight for the 2026/27 academic year is Deusto’s strong commitment to cutting-edge formats. It is worth highlighting the new “Audiovisual Creation” programme, linked to the Communication degree, which will be offered entirely in Basque. This programme has been created to train professionals capable of mastering contemporary audiovisual storytelling and producing high-quality content with a creative and critical approach.
Likewise, the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences presents the "Language & Technology" programme for the Modern Languages or Basque Language and Culture degrees. This programme, taught in English, positions Deusto at the forefront of education by combining language study with Artificial Intelligence tools, chatbots, and machine translation, preparing specialists to lead the digital transformation.
The application period for undergraduate programmes has been open since 9 January.
