The Executive MBA, the flagship programme of Deusto Business School's Executive Education portfolio, celebrated its 15th anniversary on May 31 at the Bilbao campus with an event that highlighted the contributions of participants throughout the years.
The gathering was attended by Alumni from various editions of the programme as well as current students, described as "professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote and lead sustainable business projects in a global context, thus contributing to the building of a more prosperous, just, and sustainable world," according to Álvaro de la Rica Aspiunza, Dean of Deusto Business School.
Álvaro De la Rica emphasized that "the purpose of the Executive MBA fully aligns with the mission of Deusto Business School as a whole: We aim to educate men and women with and for others."
After the Dean's welcome, David Ruiz de Olano, the first director of the Executive MBA and currently the director of its online version, spoke about the program’s history and "this journey that began in the summer of 2008," expressing gratitude to participants for "integrating the University of Deusto into your lives."
The bulk of the event was dedicated to sharing the experiences of attendees, focusing on the personal and professional benefits the Executive MBA has brought them over the years. This discussion was facilitated by Professor Enric Segarra.
Following this, Marta Aguilar Barrón, Director of Corporate Relations and In-Company Development in Madrid, shared the "two Cs" rule with attendees: quality and warmth. "Maximum quality in what we do and human warmth in how we do it, because the ‘how’ is what adds differential value to individuals, organizations, and society."
The General Director of Deusto Business School Executive Education, Almudena Eizaguirre Zarza, closed the event by encouraging attendees to act as ambassadors for the University of Deusto and Deusto Business School, promoting the idea of humanistic leadership in their daily actions, spreading like an oil stain.
The event concluded with the presentation of commemorative photos and a networking cocktail held in the Atrium of the CRAI at the University of Deusto.
