The University of Deusto hosted a day event on “Digital Gender Gap 3.0: Analysis, Diagnosis and Proposals of Intervention” intended to bring all relevant stakeholders to share knowledge, practices, reflections and experiences related to gender inequalities that take place in the Internet.
The event was organised by the Deusto Social Values Research Team, whose Head, María Silvestre Cabrera, is member of the Gender Interdisciplinary Research Platform.
In the morning session, the most significant results of the research "Analysis of the third digital gender gap of adolescent people of the CAE" were presented. This research was conducted by the Deusto Valores Social team and funded by the calls "Basic and Applied Research" of the Department of Education of the Basque Government and by the "Projects to promote women and men equality in 2019" of the Equality Directorate of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
During the afternoon session, different practical workshops about online tools, video games, cyber violence and cybersecurity were carried out. They were facilitated by Isa Duque and Cristina Chinchilla of the PsicoWoman project, Estibaliz Linares (researcher of the University of Deusto and member of the Gender Interdisciplinary Research Platform), Ianire Estebanez and representatives of the University of Deusto D4K research team.
