On 26 May, the Gregorio Ybarra Association and the University of Deusto organised the business conference ‘Entzun Sarea – Bringing Together Diverse Talent’, an event that brought together companies, professionals and young people with hearing impairments to reflect on and work together towards more accessible, innovative and humane inclusion in the workplace.
The initiative was launched with the aim of building bridges between the business community and young people with hearing impairments, promoting more inclusive workplaces that are committed to equal opportunities.
The event featured real-life experiences, success stories and a business think tank in which attendees will work on challenges such as transforming recruitment processes, integrating into work teams and creating truly inclusive working environments.

The University of Deusto has equipped the Barandiaran Room with a hearing loop system to ensure an accessible experience for hearing aid users and cochlear implant users. This measure reflects the strong commitment of the organising bodies to genuine inclusion and accessibility.
The event is supported by the Department of Employment, Social Cohesion and Equality of the Provincial Council of Biscay and the Gondra Barandiarán Foundation, organisations committed to promoting initiatives that foster equal opportunities and social inclusion.
The meeting concluded with the signing of the Entzun Sarea Commitment Document, a collective pledge to promote diverse talent in Biscay.
