Gema Aonso Diego holds a PhD in Psychology, a Master's in General Health Psychology and a Master's in Tobacco Addiction. She is currently a researcher at the University of Deusto.
She has taught across several undergraduate programmes in subjects in the field of Personality, Assessment, and Psychological Treatment, including Psychological Intervention and Treatment, Psychology of Addictions, Principles of Behaviour Modification, and Behavioural Disorders, among others. Her research focuses on evaluating, preventing, and intervening in addictive behaviours, with a particular emphasis on behavioural or non-substance-related addictions. Specifically, she has published a total of 59 scientific articles and 18 book chapters in the field of addictions. She has received awards from various national and international organisations for her research in this field.
