Leire Bereziartua holds a degree in Industrial Design Engineering from the Mondragon Polytechnic School (Mondragon Unibertsitatea) and Politecnico di Milano. She earned her PhD in Engineering from the University of Deusto, specializing in the Systemic Design of industrial products. Currently, she is a member of the Deusto Design Research Group and teaches at the Faculty of Engineering on the Bilbao campus. She also serves as the coordinator for the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and the Double Degree in Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering. She teaches several subjects related to Graphic Expression across various engineering disciplines at both the undergraduate and master's levels, as well as Sustainable Design and laboratories focused on Human-Centered Design and Service and Experience Design. Additionally, she is part of the Deusto FabLab team as a FabExpert, having completed the FabAcademy in 2018. In this role, she provides support in using digital fabrication technologies, including 2D and 3D software, 3D printing, laser cutting, and 3D scanning. To complement her academic profile, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training in 2014, providing her with comprehensive expertise in pedagogical competencies.
