Dr. Pablo García Bringas holds an Executive Master in Business Administration from Deusto Business School and a PhD in Computer Engineering, specializing in the application of Artificial Intelligence to the field of Cybersecurity. He also holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and a Master’s degree in Industrial Informatics. He is a tenured professor of engineering at the University of Deusto. He currently serves as Director of University–Industry Relations. Previously, he has held various positions, such as Vice-Dean for External Relations, Continuing Education, and Research. He was the founder and director of the Deusto Chair in Digital Industry. He has developed his professional career in close and continuous collaboration with the private sector, launching and advancing initiatives in research, technology development, and innovation. In this area, he co-founded the DeustoTech technology center, where he has held several leadership roles, including General Director of the center. He has also served as Vice-Dean and Director of Research at the Faculty of Engineering. His research team, “Deusto for Knowledge,” has been recognized by the Basque Government as an excellent research team since 2010. He led the Deusto Master’s in Information Security for 11 years and also the Executive Program in Industry 4.0. His track record includes more than 150 R&D&i projects acquired and led, over 250 scientific publications, 28 supervised PhD theses, and more than €15 million in funding raised. He has chaired top-tier international scientific and academic events such as DEXA, CISIS, SOCO, ICEUTE, HAIS, INFOSEC, BIGDAT, DEEP LEARNING BILBAO!, and IQSOFT.
