Lidia Serrano holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, a PhD in Mathematics Education from Ramon Llull University, and a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics jointly awarded by the Open University of Catalonia and the University of Barcelona. Since the 2022–2023 academic year, she has been a member of the academic and research staff at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto, where she teaches mathematics and statistics courses in the Bachelor's Degree programmes in Biomedical Engineering and Mathematical Engineering. She is also a member of the Engineering Learning Methodologies Committee (COMAI) and actively participates in several educational innovation projects. Her research activity focuses on mathematical modelling and biostatistics. She is currently involved in the Spanish National Research Plan project PID2021-126717NB-C33, which focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of innovative educational interventions and instructional designs in higher education.
