Unai Sainz Lugarezaresti is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Computer, Electronics and Communication Technologies at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto, where he teaches Analog Electronics in the Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering and Electronic Technology in the Industrial Engineering degrees, and contributes a short module on Biosensing and Medical Physics to the Dual Master's Programme in Innovation and Technology. He holds bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering and in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering, as well as a Master's Degree in Computation and Intelligent Systems, all from the University of Deusto. Since 2024 he has worked as a Research Engineer at the Biobizkaia Health Research Institute, within the Computational Neuroimaging Group and the BegiBrainLab laboratory at Cruces University Hospital, where he is completing his doctoral thesis in Neuroscience (UPV/EHU). His research focuses on non-invasive digital biomarkers based on eye-tracking, computerized visual tests and artificial intelligence for the early detection of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. He has taken part in ELKARTEK projects funded by the Basque Government and is the author of publications and conference contributions at international meetings such as AAIC, OHBM and IEEE NANO.
