I am a designer and creative strategy director with over 25 years’ experience in strategic design, brand identity and communication projects across the industrial, cultural and social sectors. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona (1995), a Master’s in Creative Direction from the Bassat & Ogilvy Creative Institute at ESADE (Barcelona, 1997) and a Master’s in Art Direction from the Red & Yellow School at Ogilvy (Cape Town, 1999). I currently combine running my own studio, specialising in strategic design and brand identity, with teaching as an associate professor at the University of Deusto, where I have been teaching on the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design Engineering since 2020. I am also currently finalising my doctoral thesis. I view design as a discipline capable of connecting strategy, aesthetics, innovation and social commitment—four dimensions that underpin both my professional practice and my teaching and research work. Throughout my career, I have led strategic design and identity projects for public and private organisations, contributing to processes of innovation, transformation and brand building across various sectors and international contexts. Notable organisations I have worked for include Osakidetza, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the Government of La Rioja, EITB, Azkuna Zentroa, the Agirre Lehendakaria Centre, AZTI, EIT Food, Metro Bilbao, Exolum, Endesa and Mastercard, amongst others. Part of this work has been recognised with 5 LAUS awards, 6 ANUARIA awards, 4 ‘Selected from Europe’ honours and 2 selections at the Ibero-American Design Biennial, as well as features in specialist national and international publications such as NOVUM, Gràffica, Experimenta, Design Boom and Pencilcase. I combine my professional and academic work with speaking engagements at national and international conferences, seminars and specialist forums related to design, innovation and contemporary culture. Since 2024, I have been the president of EIDE, the Basque Design Association.
