aritz bilbao jayo

Dr. Aritz Bilbao Jayo is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering of the University of Deusto. He graduated as a Computer Engineer from the University of Deusto in 2014 and completed his Master's Degree in Computer Engineering at the same university in 2016. In 2020, he obtained his doctorate after defending his international thesis entitled "From Political Manifestos to Social Networks: the Automation of Political Discourse Analysis using Contextual Information". Throughout his career, he has worked on projects such as SONOPA (AAL), MoveSmart (FP7), Fraseware (Retos), and WHY (H2020). He currently participates in European projects including BD4QoL (H2020), IDEA4RC, and Late-AYA (Horizon Europe), where he applies artificial intelligence techniques to natural language processing, social network analysis, activity recognition in smart environments, and healthcare.
