aitor.ibarrola@deusto.esAitor Ibarrola holds a BA degree in English Studies and a PhD in Modern Languages and Literature from the University of Deusto. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Basque Studies of the UD.Apart from teaching in the undergraduate degree in Modern Languages, he also lectures in two EM postgraduate Programs: Migrations and Social Cohesion and Euroculture. More specifically, he teaches the following courses: Multiculturalism and Intercultural Dialogue, Higher English for Communication, Academic Writing and Literature into Film (undergrad), and Diversity Management y Qualitative Research Methods (MA degrees), all of them in English.His major publications deal with minority literatures and interethnic relations in Northamerica. He has also been involved in projects on discrimination, human mobility, cultural hybridization and the American West.He is a member of the Retos Research Team. Category A (Basque Government 2007).Other areas of interest include: Cultural Studies, Film Adaptation, Minority and Migrant Fiction.
