Ricardo Aguado holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto and a PhD in Applied Economics from the University of the Basque Country. He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Finance and Economics at the University of Deusto (Deusto Business School), where he teaches primarily at the Bilbao campus. His teaching activity is mainly focused on the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, as well as on the Executive MBA, the Deusto Business School doctoral programme, and the Master’s Degree in Industrial Organization Engineering at the University of Deusto. Ricardo is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Humanism in Management and Economics research team (HUME – Humanismo en la Gestión y en la Economía), officially recognized by the University of Deusto. He has also collaborated on several research projects on the Basque economy with the Basque Institute of Competitiveness (Orkestra). His publications focus primarily on economic, environmental, and social sustainability, humanistic management, and economic development. Ricardo has been a visiting scholar at Bentley University, University of Missouri–Kansas City, Fordham University, and Santa Clara University, all located in the United States.
