This grant is aimed at law graduates who wish to prepare for the competitive state exams for entry into the Judicial and Public Prosecution careers, or the Body of Legal Advisers of the Administration of Justice, and who reside in the Basque Autonomous Community. Applicants must also meet certain requirements: Be registered residents and have actually lived in the Basque Country for at least five of the last seven years. Prepare for the exam under the guidance of a specialised centre or a tutor belonging to the relevant career or body. Not exceed certain income thresholds (€20,000 if earning independently, or €75,000 if dependent on others). Not be employed full-time, nor receive another similar grant. Not have benefited from more than three years of grants of this type (except in exceptional cases). And, in general, not be subject to any incompatibility or administrative or criminal sanctions. The Order of 19 September 2025 from the Department of Justice and Human Rights of the Basque Country establishes the rules and announces the call for 40 grants for 2026, aimed at law graduates preparing for the competitive state exams for the Judicial and Public Prosecution careers or the Body of Legal Advisers of the Administration of Justice. Each grant amounts to €6,600 per year (€550 per month) and is awarded based on income, academic record, and knowledge of Basque. The grants aim to remove financial barriers and promote access to legal professions. Applications are processed electronically and must meet residency, income, and exclusivity requirements for exam preparation. The call will be awarded through a competitive selection process and requires periodic reporting on progress and expenses.
