About the grants
Following the signing of the agreement between the University of Deusto and Olarain Hall of Residence in San Sebastian in June 2026, one accommodation grant per academic year will be awarded to new undergraduate students enrolling in official degree programmes at the University of Deusto’s San Sebastian campus who meet the requirements of the Deusto–Olarain grants.
General Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Academic admission: Be unconditionally admitted to an undergraduate degree programme or double degree programme at the University of Deusto’s San Sebastian campus and be starting your studies in the first year.
- Prior financial support: Have been awarded a financial aid grant from the University of Deusto, provided that this does not result in duplicate accommodation support.
- Academic requirements: Grant recipients must meet their academic obligations consistently and voluntarily; otherwise, they may lose the grant after receiving prior notice.
- Apply for renewal of the accommodation grant (as well as the undergraduate financial support grant) each academic year until the completion of their undergraduate studies.
Eligible Vulnerable Profiles
In addition to the general requirements, students must meet one or more of the following vulnerability criteria:
- People with limited access to financial, educational, social or healthcare resources.
- People with refugee status or who are newcomers.
The final selection of candidates is the responsibility of the University of Deusto, although Olarain reserves the right to conduct a final personal interview before awarding the grant, if deemed necessary.
