    Innovative training

    We offer you innovative and comprehensive training based on social values and adapted to the current context. And as one of our main objectives is to help you learn by doing, our learning model goes beyond the theoretical classes.

    Role plays

    You will perform role plays to work on intervention techniques in processes involving helping and accompanying the most vulnerable groups in society.

    Case studies

    You will work on case studies in class on risk situations for citizens, on human rights and on direct and individualised attention.

    Workshops

    You will participate in workshops where you will train social skills such as listening, understanding and mediation.

    You will learn to apply questionnaires, diagnostic and social assessment tools and techniques.

    From basics to practice in social centres

    How are courses organised?

    You will learn the basics of Social Work and everything related to the person, their environment and their relationship with others.

    You will work on techniques for social intervention and will learn about the main psychosocial problems. You will also try out the most important technique: social diagnosis.

    You will gain further knowledge through elective subjects. You will also do an internship in a centre throughout the year and write the Undergraduate Final Year Project. In addition, during the first semester you will have the opportunity to enjoy what studying at an international university is like.

    We offer you the opportunity to train in the two areas of social intervention that are most-in demand by professionals:

    • Specialist social intervention with children and adolescents, people with disabilities, people with mental health problems and elderly people.
    • Social inclusion and human development, working with groups and communities living in situations of social exclusion.

    In addition, if you are interested in receiving training in both fields, you can also combine subjects from both pathways.

    Study in Spanish-Basque  You will be able to combine subjects in Spanish and Basque. We also offer you the possibility of taking the necessary credits in Basque to obtain the recognition of the C1 language profile from the Basque Government.

    Undergraduate Final Year Project

    The Undergraduate Final Year Project involves preparing a project independently but supervised by a tutor, and its subsequent oral presentation and public defence. 

    Students must demonstrate that they can integrate and apply the competences acquired throughout the degree, work autonomously and responsibly, generate new ideas and knowledge and effectively communicate the results in writing and in its oral defence.
