The 240 ECTS credits of the Bachelor’s degree programme are divided among core, compulsory and elective subjects, internships and the Undergraduate Final Year Project. You will combine subjects in English, Spanish, Basque and a fourth language (German, French, Chinese, Arabic or Galician). In addition to classes in each language, you can choose subjects taught in English, Spanish and Basque. You will find the language of instruction for each subject in the course syllabus.
Level required to access the degree
Level attained at the end of studies
The final level of the fourth language (German, French, Chinese, Arabic or Galician) will depend on the language chosen and will be between A2 and B1.
If you study at least 40% of the credits in English and can prove that you have a C1 level, the University of Deusto will certify your language proficiency in this language.
Exemption from the Basque language
Students from outside the Basque Autonomous Community, or those who for justified reasons request it, will have their Basque Language credits replaced by the same number of credits in a General Introduction to that language and culture.
Internationalisation, multidisciplinarity and multilingualism are three key pillars for the professionals of the future, which is why, in your 3rd year of study, you will have the opportunity to complete your training at another international university.
We are part of a network of more than 200 Jesuit universities worldwide. The International Association of Jesuit Universities, established in July 2018, reinforces this union. Deusto stands out for its extensive experience in international exchange programmes and this experience has allowed us to establish relationships with international universities and select the most interesting ones.
At the host university you will take subjects previously agreed with your tutor at Deusto. During your international stay, we closely supervise each student from the University of Deusto. We have an international department that will help and support you throughout the whole process.
The experience of living and studying in a foreign country will enable you to learn about other customs and will also give you the opportunity to:
- Open your mind to different cultures
- Strengthen social skills
- Develop language skills
- Be flexible and adapt to new situations
The exchange would be carried out with one of the following universities. See current calls for applications.
During the 2nd semester of the 4th year, you will develop a communication or research projectsupervised by a tutor. You will have to choose a topic from the following catalogue to prepare the final project, which you can write in Spanish or English.
You will be working on the following subjects:

Second semester
