On 9, 10, 11 and 12 May, a group of 18 students on the Master of Business Administration with a specialisation in Innovation Management from the Swiss University of SUPSI, will visit Deusto Business School in Bilbao to learn about the main features and tools used by the Basque Country in terms of innovation and transformation in the region.
The programme includes the participation of Deusto Business School professors Tontxu Campos, Ekhi Atutxa, James Wilson and Ricardo Aguado.
On Wednesday, participants will have the opportunity to get to know Innobasque's Business Innovation Department: the Basque Innovation Agency and leading companies in the field such as Techfriendly and Virtualware. Through real cases, they will be shown the model applied by Innobasque to promote and implement innovation processes in the Basque business fabric, with a special focus on Small and Medium Enterprises.
On Thursday, Jorge Navarro, founder of the boutique marketing agency TOB (Thinking outside the Bottle) and the Itsamendi winery, will give them an insight into the design and implementation of innovation processes in such a special sector as the wine industry.
On Friday, they will meet Lourdes Moreno, CEO and owner of Bolueta Engineering Group, who will share with the group the products and services they offer in order to improve their customers’ processes and contribute to promoting and implementing innovation in them. On this same day, they will also have the opportunity to see the Guggenheim Museum's innovative security system designed and implemented by the RKL Integral company.
In addition, and to gain an insight into the Basque reality, during their stay they will also have the opportunity to learn about the transformation of the city of Bilbao with Roberto San Salvador, Professor at the University of Deusto and Director of Cities Lab Katedra.
