Assembly Hall
The Professor of Psychology at the University of Deusto, Natalia Ojeda Del Pozo, will be appointed as an elected member of the Royal Academy of Medicine of the Basque Country (RAMPV, in Spanish) in a ceremony that will take place on 14 October at 18:00 at the University's Assembly Hall. This is the first time that the RAMPV has awarded this distinction to a psychologist and the second time to a woman.
The Rector José María Guibert and the President of the RAMPV Javier Aranceta, among other academics, will preside over the ceremony in which the professor of Psychiatry of the Basque Country, Miguel Gutiérrez Fraile, will act as godfather of the new academy member. Natalia Ojeda's career has been close to the medical professional world, a group that has shown their respect and recognition of her professional and scientific work with this appointment, among others.
A benchmark in Neuropsychology
In 2021, Natalia Ojeda was elected director of the World Development Committee of the International Neuropsychological Society (INS, www.the-ins.org), and is currently participating in the electoral process as a candidate for the presidency of the society, a process that will end in December 2022. Dr. Ojeda is running as a candidate for the presidency alongside Dr. David Loring from the USA and Dr. Roy Kessels from the Netherlands. It is the first time that a Spanish candidate has stood for the presidency.
