The prestigious economist Mariana Mazzucato explains in Bilbao the key elements to public innovation in the 21st Century

Deusto Business School, in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and Deusto Business Alumni, hosted on 10 April 2019 the visit of Professor Mariana Mazzucato, Professor of Economics of Innovation and Public Value and advisor to the European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas.

Professor Mazzucato gave a master lecture on "the key elements to innovation in public administrations" at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.

Mariana Mazzucato is the founder/director of the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose at the University College London and the RM Phillips Chair in Innovation Economics at the University of Sussex. She is author of numerous publications such as "The Entrepreneurial state" or "The Value of Everything" and is considered as one of the most influential economists of the moment, an international expert who stands out for seeking tangible solutions to the great global challenges: artificial intelligence, mobility, ageing societies and a growth that is clean and respectful of the environment.
