11 December 2013
Bilbao Campus
This seminar was attended by researchers from Deusto, ESADE and ICADE-Comillas, and a guest researcher from Nebrija. It was also attended by Dr. Julia González Ferreras, co-founder of the Tuning project, who gave the opening speech.
The aim of this seminar was to examine the generic and specific competences that can make Law graduates more employable, in the light of increasing internationalisation.
The aim was therefore to contribute to drawing up a new professional and academic profile based on these competences, taking into account the current structure of higher education (BA, Master’s and PhD degrees), without forgetting the needs required by society and economic stakeholders in 21st century.
To this purpose, a review of all the elements that make up the teaching-learning process was carried out, from contents to competences, through educational activities and student assessment.
Finally, the state-of-the art in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) was examined in order to find out the lights and shadows on the path of the long-awaited European convergence on educational matters.
The texts of the papers, duly revised, and the conclusions from the project will be published shortly in a monograph by Thomson-Aranzadi.
