The results of the ranking of the 250 best postgraduate programmes in the Social Sciences, Cooperation category, published annually by the El Mundo newspaper, were revealed on 22 June.
This year, the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Programme in International Humanitarian Action (NOHA), which is taught at the Pedro Arrupe Institute of Human Rights was ranked first again.
The aim of the ranking is to guide prospective students in choosing the programme that best suits their interests and needs, since taking a Master's degree will allow them to specialise in a specific area, increase their network of professional contacts and gain work experience in companies, thus facilitating their labour market integration.
A total of 25 selection criteria were analysed, based on the demand for the master's degree (places offered, quality/price ratio, collaborating entities...), human resources (prestige of teaching staff, tutorials, foreign students...), course syllabus (academic programme, internships...), outcomes (success rate, student assessment, job placement...) and material resources.
This is not the first time that the NOHA master's degree has achieved this position, as it also achieved this distinction in 2019 and 2021.
