Two delegations from the University of Deusto traveled to Latin America between September 23 and October 4 to present its undergraduate, double degree and graduate programs for the 2025-26 academic year at the UNITOUR University Fair and the International Graduate Studies Fair (FIEP), both organized by Círculo Formación.
In the context of the UNITOUR International University Fair, the University's delegation visited Bogota and Mexico City from September 23 to 26, presenting its undergraduate and double-degree program offering. The event, which gathered leading international universities, toured six schools in the Colombian capital and four in Mexico City, in order to show pre-university students the wide range of options available to them and to provide detailed information about other aspects of university education, such as tuition fees, scholarships and housing options, among others. The events attracted a very positive response and Deusto received 330 Requests for Additional Information.
Similarly, another Deusto delegation toured several Latin American cities to present its master's degree programs at the International Graduate Studies Fair (FIEP). Between September 30 and October 4, the fair visited the cities of Lima (Peru), Medellin and Bogota (Colombia) and Guayaquil and Quito (Ecuador), providing a meeting point for universities and potential candidates.
Both events are part of one of Deusto's fundamental pillars: internationalization. Currently, the University holds agreements with 527 centers around the world and has 2,137 international students from 72 countries (among them, 418 official undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students; 72 in non-official courses; 930 in international mobility; 240 in CIDE; and 477 in educational innovation programs for Chile and Colombia).
One of the most important goals stressed in the current Strategic Plan is precisely to promote Deusto as an international educational destination and to foster future teaching diversification. The University is working to carry out this goal of internationalization by increasing the number of degrees offered in collaboration with foreign universities, and by promoting the attraction of international students.
In this regard, the University of Deusto has launched several actions to attract students from other countries, especially in an initial phase, from Latin America. The Communication and Marketing Department has worked on digital campaigns and has focused on participation in university orientation fairs. Pursuing a university career in our country constitutes a viable option for Latin American students and Deusto seeks to guide them on this path and thus promote the creation of an international academic environment.
The orientation fairs held in Latin America join a long list of events held throughout the country. From October to May, a team constantly on the move informs and orients students and their families about their academic future. In addition to these fairs, information sessions are held on campus in November and December, and open days are held in January and February. All of this, with the intention of advising, guiding and accompanying students, and broadening Deusto's horizons.
