The University participated in the latest edition of the NAFSA Annual Conference and Fair, the world’s largest higher education event, held this year in Orlando from 26 to 29 May. Once again, Deusto attended this event with the aim of strengthening its global presence and opening up new international opportunities for the entire university community.

The institutional delegation, composed of Samiha Chemli and Itziar Muñoz (International Spanish Centre), Nagore Landeta (Mobility Office) and Iker Pastor (Vice-Dean for International Relations at the Faculty of Engineering), held bilateral meetings with universities from across five continents. These meetings will help to consolidate exchange agreements, covering both physical and virtual mobility, as well as exploring joint academic cooperation, thereby fulfilling the university’s strategy and commitment to internationalisation. Furthermore, Itziar Muñoz and Samiha Chemli played a key role as speakers through their participation in the Poster Fair session, where they presented the poster “Designing Global Learning through Immersion and Reflection”.

Furthermore, the team actively participated in other parallel events organised alongside this global forum, such as the one organised by SEPIE (Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education). The delegation also attended the meeting for Jesuit universities, a key forum for strengthening the global IAJU network .
